We here at FCS are very fortunate to not only work with the lovely staff at San Diego Magazine, but be friends with them as well.  So you can imagine our delight when our good friend and Editor at SDM, Erin, asked Becca and I to photograph her and Wayne’s beautiful day.  We had the honor of photographing her sister Jenn’s wedding to her husband Bryan earlier in the year, so it was awesome to spend another spectacular day with their family!  Erin and Wayne chose to get ready for their big day at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, which is an absolutely beautiful location.  Everything was made official at The Village Presbyterian Church just down the street, and the party got wild at The Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.  Everything from the dress to the flowers to the location was so elegant and beautiful, it was a perfect combination of chic and romantic!  What made this particular wedding extra special, aside from everything above, is that we’ve known Erin since pre-Wayne days.  It was so beautiful to watch the relationship grow, from the first dates to meeting Wayne’s adorable son, Russell, to the ring and then the wedding.  She was radiating happiness from the inside out, and Wayne brings out the absolute happiest version of Erin that we’ve ever seen.  We are so excited for them, and the adventure that awaits!

Editors note: By the time this blog post was published, Erin and Wayne have welcomed into the world and beautiful and healthy baby boy, Tristan!  We love you guys, congratulations!!!

Our beautiful friend Gloria wanted to do a photo shoot with her siblings, husband, and sister-in-law.  What’s so fun about a shoot like this, is not only to we adore her family, but it’s awesome to see grown family members all wanting to partake in a photo session with one another.  It seems like people stop taking family photos together when their unruly children get into high school and refuse to be “uncool” by taking photos with their little brothers or parents.  Why have that awkward 7th grade photo where you still have braces and are wearing that mock turtleneck ribbed sweater be the culprit of your last family photo?  I’d say that Glo and her family nailed it with their photo session, and now they have current and beautiful family photos with each other to share.

Thank you so much Glo and the rest of the family, love you guys!

This beautiful couple had a special place in mind for their engagement session.  Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve is a gem in the middle of industrial offices and corporate buildings, offering a gorgeous escape from the daily grind.  Jenn and Bryan met at one of those big office buildings, working together at The Active Network.  They used to spend their lunch breaks running these beautiful trails together, so capturing their engagement session at the place the spent so much time together made perfect sense!  This couple is beautiful both inside and out, and we are so excited for what their life together is going to bring them!  Congratulations!!!

Meet Brixton!  This sleepy little bear managed to keep his eyes open for a few shots, and he was just the sweetest guy during our in home photo shoot.

The family photos we got are some of my most favorite newborn family shots ever!  Naturally, Brixton felt most at home being snuggled up with Mom and Dad.

Congratulations Patrick & Kaitlyn on such an adorable little man!
